Pizza and Basketball

So, as usual the weekend has come and gone in the blink of an eye. Sid and I hung out Friday night and watched prison break.....only three episodes left :( I pulled my usual stunt and let her stay up late...so she would sleep late for me...of course it back fired....which it sometimes does.

Saturday was date night. We have not had a date night in a while. I normally love to take Sidney everywhere we go...even if it's to a nice restaurant, hobby lobby...where ever.

We headed off to Grapevine, and went to eat at Cantina Laredo...I could have died with that as my last meal. The service was great, the atmosphere was nice...and there went my diet and treadmill...oh well. I personally have no problem being labeled a quitter. Then we went shopping....my close personal second runner up to eating. We went to buy some new summer clothes for Chris, for our trip to Vegas. It's so fun to shop for Chris and Sidney they look great in anything. Lets just say that I'm getting old. I mean to walk into these places like Aeropostle, Abercrombie...I feel like the un cool parent... and I'm still in my twenties?? I mean some of the clothes?? I told Chris...this one shirt looks like it has been rubbed with sand paper and rolled in the dirt? What happened to looking nice and tidy? Then you go to the store with the "tidy clothes", and you look like and old fart!! While in aeropostle I finally saw a cute shirt that I liked and he hated...had him try on with a cute pair of shorts... he looked at me like I had lost it ....so i grabbed some teeny boppers and asked....honest do you like this, and does it go?? They liked it so I can't be that un-hip? So if you see my husband....no he has not rolled in dirt, and we do not wash our clothes with sand paper!! (that's the style..DUH!!) So we headed off to see Obsession...it was actually a lot better than I thought. Usually these movies are lame and predictable....but it was surprisingly pretty good. Beyonce can act...who knew?

Now Sunday was a whole different story. Sid just whined all day long!!!! Maybe I should quit letting her stay up late?? Maybe that just messes with her whole schedule? She is having some drainage out of her ears, her usual runny lime green snot (sorry about the visual)So who knows?? We were just at the doctor and she was fine? What happen to everyone telling me, these little things will get better at two?(ears, and runny nose.) Anyway to my title. Sunday was pizza night. Sidney had been asking for this all weekend!! Is that normal for a two year old to tell you whats for dinner? After that her and her Daddy played basket ball!! We got her this for her birthday, and lets just say Chris plays with it more. We were going to work on putting up her swing set...but Uncle Kerry was sick, so we did not get to that...maybe next weekend. Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

I give it one week

I know, I'm so positive, and ever the optimist!! I think everyone pretty much knows the story of having terrible morning sickness, when I was pregnant with Sidney!(roll eyes here at the million times you have heard this!) Well you're gonna hear again. I was so sick I would throw up water!! I think when all was said and done....when I delivered I was forty lbs lighter than when I started. So when I was home after having her, I lost a least another fifteen lbs. I was so happy. I thought I'm on the real road to losing weight...and I will not let myself gain it back.

Lets fast forward two years later.....and I'm twelve lbs from gaining all that back!! (insert gasp here!!) How does it just creep on like that? I mean I'm by no means lazy. I run after Sidney all the time. However I do love to eat, but who doesn't? Anyway...I made my husband dust off the old treadmill and get it out of the guest room, and in to our bedroom...so I could watch TV. Last night was my first night...I walked about ten minutes (I know..rough right?) So my sarcastic and positive self gives me a week... My husband has joined a gym....of course he is not over weight, he just wants to be healthier and tone up!! (barf!!!) So if he can find the time, and put forth the effort, I'm sure I can too! We are going on vacation in June, and I would like to loose about ten lbs, so I can fit into last summers clothes!!! Well yes of course....I'm gonna buy new clothes too...(duh) So will let you know how that goes...lets just say at the moment, I'm already trying to tell myself that I deserve a break!!! (ha) work was tough, made Sidney go to bed early(see below) and I want to read people and do nothing!!!! NO, NO.....I will do it!!!

Painful Day

That pretty much sums it up!!!! Work was painful, going to the grocery store to pick up a few items was painful!! Trying to blog with my daughter sitting under my desk......painful!! My headache is slowly starting to fade.......
My job is starting to become way to stressful, and overwhelming. I know it is the reason I have high blood pressure. (seriously) I'm starting to think my time is up there, when I come home all stressed out and with a headache everyday!! Ughhhhhhhh!!!!! I'm off to lay down, and read. Is Sidney too cute or what, playing with her baby doll under my desk!! Below is one of the outfits she received from Terri for her birthday!! So pretty. Why can't I look that cute ??

Happy Birthday/Easter

So my little girl had her Second Birthday this past Saturday. Time is going by so fast, she is such a big girl. This was bitter sweet for me. Have you ever been so happy yet so sad? This just reminds me of all the Birthdays to come, that my mother will miss out on. Last year she was an hour early to the house, and got her so much stuff...that was pretty much the last time...that she had spent with her. The following months my Grandfather was so sick, she was with him in the nursing home, all the time. Then he passed and she was so busy with her sisters with making funeral arrangements, and just plain grieving. She was to come over the weekend she passed. So Saturday was just plain hard(sad.) Yet, watching Sidney at her party, and Easter it just reminds of what I have to be happy for. So, to my Mom: I miss you, and it breaks my heart you are unable to see you grand kids grow up, but you will forever live in my heart...and I will make sure you live in my daughters!! :)

We had a great turn out a lot more people than we had last year. A big thank you to everyone who came...and all the great gifts. We were able to buy her a swing set for outside, she got a ton of cute clothes...and two very sweet baby dolls. That I might mention she has not stopped playing with. We even had to take them both in the car with us!!

Later that night we went out to eat with my in-laws...and lets just say that we had a taste of the terrible two's.. She would not sit in her booster chair, she kept throwing things across the table...she was a real toot!!! However this is with out a nap!!

Easter was pretty much quite, we did not really do much. Sid and I watched a couple of movies, and we had a Easter egg hunt in the front yard when daddy got home, it was so fun to watch. Eggs flying everywhere. We would run, fall, get up, pick up a egg, and then three would fall out of her big basket. Too funny!! We will have to start a better tradition, maybe have a family dinner...we will see!!

Long Day.....

So this has been one long day. I decided to take off, as I had a ton of things to do for Sidneys birthday. Since we are taking her to the Dallas aquarium tomorrow and she will be out of daycare, I decided to wake up early this morning to bake cupcakes to take to her class. I woke at 7:00 am , that leaves me an hour to get the cupcakes ready, packed and hidden in the car, with Sidney due to wake at 8:00 am. I head off to the kitchen, right as I turn the light on I hear.....mommy? mommy? MOMMY!!! Great she's awake and I have thirty cupcakes to make .....with the cookie monster up. Needless to say it went well, with Mommy eating one cupcake, and Sidney eating two. (without icing...this is breakfast after all!!!) I found this cute t-shirt at babies r us, and it just made me laugh out loud...had to get it!

Most of you know that awhile ago we pretty much got rid of all of our furniture. We decided to mount our flat screen above the fire place. Which meant we got rid of our amoire, so we had to get rid of our coffee table, end tables...they all matched!!! So now it is nice to have a big open space, but my home has not felt hommie (not sure that's a word, or how you spell it) this has made me sad. So I have been on a mission lately to de clutter my house, and have gotten rid of a lot of junk. Mostly my mission has been to de-country my house (except my kitchen, i can't give up my love of roosters!!) Long story short I have redone my entry way. I would have shown a before picture, but I don't want proof that ever existed!! So the last picture is off my new wall in the entry way!! I love it....sorry about the flash...(you know me and this new camera!) Somehow the picture does not do it justice...it is much more stunning in person.

New Reality Show Alert!!

So I was watching GH tonight on soap net, and saw a preview for a new reality tv show. Which come on, aren't these our favorite!!? It is called....The Southern Belle's!! They are based in Louisville, KY. The name says it all people, it previews I think later this month...will let you know for sure...not sure why it coming on soap net?? I personally cant wait!!!! I'm all about the trash tv!! (please don't judge me!) You know you watch too!!!

Odd's and End's

So why is it every time I go to wally world (walmart)to pick up odds and ends, it is over a hundred dollars?? I simply went to pick up a couple of things for sid's birthday party at day care this week, and some food items for lunch and dinner!! I have not even shopped for food or drinks for her party? Yet some how I walked out of walmart one hundred and twenty eight dollars later...I looked at sid (who was an angel in the store...NOT!!) and asked her what did we buy? Must have been her diapers!! So we went this weekend to toys r us and found the perfect outdoor swing set we are going to get her. I was reluctant, because as I have said forever this just will not be a long term house for us.....but the girl just loves to be outside...she gets this from her father...I would much rather watch a movie or shop. I guess shopping would be a outdoor activity?? Right?? Needless to say I did not find what I went there for. I was looking for the new abby cadabby love me baby doll.....all they had was elmo...(ugh!!) I wanted to do her party theme of abby cadabby, but either the girl is just to popular....or no ones likes her one bit but sid!! So I ended up getting her a little people school bus ,plane, a cash register with money(it did not come with a credit card...they must know her mommy!! ha ha) and last a bunch of books! The girl just loves to read. We went to eat after that at Roadhouse...that was not smart, as all the race fans were out!!! I should have known better!! Below are some pics of sid this weekend. She is getting much better at letting me take pics of her...I think she must understand the whole concept of it now...she will say cheeeeeeeese!!! The second one is of her doing her tumble bee tricks...( I am going to have to take her out of that class before she breaks something!!) The camera really does add ten lbs because she has a big cute butt in that pic!! Maybe it is the stripes I know they are un flattering for me!! So anyway nothing real exciting this weekend!! I'm off this Friday for the holiday, and chris took of as well, so we plan to take sid to the Dallas aquarium...heard it is pretty neat!! Hope everyone has a good Monday! I know I will not....I will be at WORK!!

On a roll now!

So I think I have this whole thing figured out!!! Thank You again to my friend Staci who helped me out. It really has been pretty easy, I'm still mastering the fine art of patience!! Wanted to share a picture of my pretty baby pooping out...she's just unable to hang with late night tv!? Also of the cake stands I bought for Sid's party. I just love them!! Wanted to also mention that my sister in law who has been very ill in the icu after having her baby, is now home...and hopefully on the road to recovery. We all have been so worried about her..she is where she belongs with her newborn. I just wanted her to know that we never gave up on her, and thought about her everyday! Everyone at my work..everyday asked..hows Angie? So welcome back!! I will post pictures of her little one and my little one together soon! Have a great Thursday everyone!

Can that girl spell?

Ok, so I could not sleep all night...why you ask? I misused/misspelled manner!! I was going for Manor as in my home!! Yes this is just one of the many things that keep me up at night. I think I finally reached shut eye around two in the morning. My daughter is almost two years old, and I still get up six times a night just to check on her. I was also thinking non stop about her birthday coming up, and how I have bought nothing and planned nothing!! The only thing I know, is that I want some cake!! Last weekend I went to Home Goods and found the cutest cake stands, that I plan to stack on top of each other and put little cup cakes! yum! I would love to show you a picture, because they are too cute.... but it could take me until see reaches ten to download a picture!!
