A little bit of everything

Not much going on here. Just recently got back from our trip to vegas , and I am ready for another vacation....is that sad? So I have been tryin to talk Chris into taking Sid to The Great Wolf Lodge. It looks like a lot of fun, she loves the water and its...what....fifteen minutes from our house?? He thinks that she is too young to enjoy it. But what does he know? So I was thinking lets go middle end of august that way all the school kids probably wont be there....take Carolyn with us...it would be fun. I knew it cost around two hundred dollars for one night give or take a little more. So he calls to check it out...If we go in august it would be three hundred and fifty...if we wait one month and go in September it would be two hundred and twenty five dollars!!! I mean really can they rip you off anymore? Did I mention this was for one night! Where's all the free summer fun? He actually came into a little extra money at work....we will call it a bonus! (long story) So we were thinking of buying a Wii, or go to the great wolf lodge. Well you know me..and most women....I want BOTH!! So in his attempt to really talk me out of the great wolf lodge...he tells me...... why don't you just take that money that we would spend at the water park...and just go shopping!! I know pick your mouth off the floor. I must be a true mother when I still would rather spend the money and take sidney to the water park. But I have a feeling that my old selfish self will come out on top! (you would do it too!!)
Tonight I cut sidney's hair ( no these are not the photos below..this is what I cut it's so long.) The first time I took her to get her hair cut, was not a fun experience...and they cut it crooked...so i figured why pay someone fifteen dollars to cut it crooked when I can do that for free (crooked) No but I did a good job...maybe I missed my calling! I still have to threaten her life...and beg her to be still with a cookie!
Watched eighteen kids and counting, and the little couple tonight. Normally I don't watch the Duggars..(cuz I need drama) but tonigt their oldest son was finding out what his new wife was pregnant with . Brought back so many memories. I used to think that I always wanted a boy...and you know how it is when your pregnant ...I will be happy with what ever GOD gives me. But I must ADMIT, when I had my sonogram (11/07) to find out what we were having...... I was so happy/relived that I was having a girl. So far its has been all the joy and fun I knew it would be. I'm way off subject...anyway the Duggars will be getting a little granddaughter.

Does anyone watch the little couple...they are so sweet. Tonight it showed a clip of her (Jen) intubating a little preemie...so scary. (she is a neonatologist) its a good show...check it out.

Posted some pics of our vegas trip. I did not take many pics...did not want to carry my camera around...and I hate to have my pic taken. Made it through my first plane ride...was not to bad! Don't think I could do that a lot (like for a job) or more than a couple of hours. I mean can they make that plane any smaller? We had a lot of fun. Went to a couple of shows (do not see BLUEMAN group) I think it is waaaaaay to late for a refund for that one. The weather was so nice there...don't think that it got above 75 degrees. We did a lot of eating, talking, walking....had massages, manicure, pedicure...did not get much better than all that. We all remained friends thru that. I knew we would...sometimes I think being so different from a person actually makes you get along better (that make sense) Our next trip together Disney! Sid will be five and her kids will be graduating high school!! She's such a young mom!
Anyway....boring my self...enjoy the pics!!

Does anyone else watch this show? I mean it ranks right up there with Alias for me!! (Sydney Bistrow) hence....(Sidney McLeroy) Yes people I'm that sad!!

"Oh No She Didn't"

Yes....my daughter....however did I manage to laugh before her?? Tonight I was loving and kissing on her...as I normally do...with her being a little sick I guess I got on her nerves? She said and I quote.... "NO KISSES MOM!!" Then I proceeded to say to her...and I use this saying all the time with her.... "OH NO YOU DIDN'T!!"....... "I DIDN'T MOM, I DIDN'T," was her response. OK first off...when did you start calling me MOM..sidney. I will forever be, until you are of legal age be referred to as MOMMY!! I mean if she wasn't just so darn funny, she would have hurt my feelings. (and they don't get hurt often) It's amazing how your kids can turn you into a big ball of emotions.. Anyway I proceeded to kiss her ALL over after she told me that....and I got a little laugh out of her!! She is too grown for me!

Long lost friend

Did you really think I meant a actual person? Come on you know how sad I am. So this is what has been occupying my time the last couple of weeks. On Tvland station they show Roseanne reruns for hours at a time. This shows brings back so many happy memories for me, my mom and i would sit and watch this show all the time back at home. I even bought her a bunch of the seasons on dvd one year for Christmas. I like to think that Roseannes's humor is similar to my own. That's pretty much what I have been up to reruns and watching my bloated tivo.

Sidney has another ear/sinus infection. I just hate when she is sick, it's just so sad. You know she has too many ear infections when the doc pulls out the otoscope and she points and says ear. I mean the point of those ear tubes was what??

Uh....minor set back

So today I get to daycare, the first thing I see is Sidney in a change of clothes...this means one of two things. Puke or Poo! Now seeing as I would have gotten a phone call about the puke...knew it had to be poo!
So my sweet little, pretty baby....who hates to poo! Always states "eww, poo poo diaper...gross!" Diaper, diaper (meaning change my diaper now woman I'm sitting in poo!)

So today she Pooed in her diaper stuck her hands down her pants....in the Poo, and wiped all over her clothes. THE HORROR!!! So maybe we celebrated a little to early over the whole potty thing! All I can say it thank goodness it happened to the girls at day care and not to mommy. As my husband would say...that is what we pay them for! LOL!!

Potty like a Rock Star

So today I was informed by Sidney's teacher that she finally sat on the potty long enough to go pee pee! She came up to her teacher said she had to go potty, and there you go. Her grandmother did watch her this weekend said she got her to go once, by giving her a cookie! I must be a bad teacher, Chris and I have been trying for months!? I never thought of a bribe though. This shirt I bought her while we were in Vegas...before any of the potty news!! weird uh?

Twenty One

Ahhhh! To be twenty one again. Actually I don't think that I would go back there! This weekend was Carolyn's Twentyfirst birthday! This was her first drink (ahem, lol.) The real celebration begins Friday, when we are on our way to Vegas! My BFF and I are taking her to Vegas for her Birthday, come to think about it, I think that Carolyn has been to Vegas more than Jeanne and I combined! We have shows planned, spa day, manicure, pedicure....did I mention the PLANE RIDE!!!??(sceeeeeeeeeered!!) Anyway I have known Carolyn since she was ten years old, she has turned out to be a very smart, mature, beautiful girl, who I consider to be more of a sister/friend. We have so many things in common, which could just be weird on my part! It's almost sad to hear us talk about twilight.......we could go on and on...make it all sound so logical!
So Happy Birthday Carolyn! You Rock, Luv Ya!

Other than that just trying to get ready for our trip, I actually love to pack and get organized. Weird? I think I'm really mostly anxious about leaving Sidney for soooo long! I have only been away from her a night at the most. She's at that age where she does not understand that Mommy will be coming back. :(
I have never flown before, and who would not be anxious at the unknown? I like to be prepared at know what I'm getting into! I just really need to be in control!

I promise I can let loose and have fun...I'm sure Jeanee as thought GREAT what have I gotten my self into!
