Pumpkin Patch

Sidney had such a great time at the pumpkin patch this Saturday! She loved running around and looking at all the pumpkins! She had her face painted and bounced in the bounce house, and got to ride on a tractor! We had a lot of family fun, she was very upset to leave.
Sunday we all headed out to my aunts house....haven't really seen my dads side of the family in a while. It is always nice to catch up with them, we always had such blast as kids! I truly miss them and wish I could see more of them...we are just all so spread out! Hope to see them for the holidays! Sidney's first Halloween costume! Isn't she sooooo CUTE! Look at all those baby toys...so glad to be rid of the big bulky stuff!

Me: Sidney please go put on your shoes so we can leave, mommy is in a hurry!

Sidney: Mommy........I'm gonna think about it !!! I'll think about it, OK!?



Me: (after trying to not let her see me laugh) Sidney, you will please go put on your shoes now!

Sidney: OK, Mommy!

Nobody told me that as a parent you would be eating you own words ALL the time! This is just one of many things I say, that I find her repeating to me!

The Circus

Last week we had the pleasure of going to the circus, and by pleasure I mean FREE!! (he he) I really wanted to take Sid to the circus this year, but after all the fix its around the house...we decided not to go...as were going to boo at the zoo later in October.
BFF came through at the last minute, and had three tickets for us...and we gladly excepted!(thank you) It was a lot of fun! We were quite literally on the floor... front row seats....we could see everything. I must say that Sidney did very well, other than just wanting to go up into the rings with the elephants a few times.....and now this is all she can talk about! Mommy I want to go see the elephants! Its cute.. Sidney looking around at all the neat stuff at fudruckers.

These poor bears, I sort of felt sorry for them...they were like trained monkeys!(they could never go back to the wilderness...the other bears would kill em!)

I really liked doing this better than my usual kiddie kandids...wanted more natural, action shots...outdoors! Cant wait to see the final shots.....have a great weekend, hubby and I off to eat, shop, and see a movie!

The Weekend

Well, Friday came, as well as the parts for our washer. What we thought was just a simple belt was not. Of course, does it not always have to be way more complicated. After figuring out that it was a totally different problem that we were not equipped to handle we decided we would have to break down and get a new washer. :( I mean really why must these things happen one after the other, and so close to the holidays? As my husband said..and I must say that he is right (which does not happen, well ever! ha!) Tracy- be thankful that when things like this happen we are able to go out and buy a new washer, that were able to fix the ac, and have your wisdom teeth pulled. Well I am! I just need to gripe and would much rather spend the money on something else! I didn't need a fancy pants machine, just something to wash my dirty clothes in...I mean that's really all their for!? But its pretty cool, it uses less water, and spins faster to cut down on dryer use, and you can see through it...how cool is that! Not very, I know!
It took us about ten minutes to pick it out, purchase, and there you go. We put a lot of thought into it!
Saturday night we went to see Couples Retreat, which I loved. It was pretty out there, and so true in as far as marriage goes....in my opinion, really I just love Vince Vaughn, and Jason Bateman...so I will see anything with them.
Sunday we finally had our session with my friend Staci, for Sidney's pictures and the B. Gardens. We kept getting rained out! I must say I thought it went well. I mean with her, pictures can either be semi-easy...or a complete melt down. Photography by no means looks easy, I don't know how she took so many pictures, much less her patience...there were times when I would have been fed up with Sid!(kinda like what happened at picture people...i thought they were gonna throw us out of there, oh well that's another post!) I thought she did well, she was more interested in running around and playing, so hopefully we werent that bad of clients!(lol) Staci brought her daughter Sofia and I must say I think they hit it off! They will have to get together again soon, so we can really see who can out boss the other! Maybe her and Sofia will be great buds! I really liked to be surprised so I'm glad I didn't really look at any of the pics that she took....I saw a couple that were beautiful...so I can feel a really hard decision in my future. Thanks Staci! I think I just might wait to show everyone else at Christmas....I know, I'm a meany!

My Girl

My little baby is turning into such a little lady! :( She is becoming so verbal, and a little bossy if I do say so myself!. She will rarely let me hold and cuddle her, and lately if I give her a kiss, she will wipe it off! No kisses mommy! It's so funny but sad. Everything pretty much has to be her way or the highway....I find myself having to bargain with her most of the time..to find a happy medium. I mean once she gets something in her head, she will dig those heels in....and not budge! This weekend was rough. She would not listen for anything, and who wants to be that mommy that is constantly getting on to her child. I would sit her in time out. I would put her in her crib. I would take things away from her, none of this works! She would tell me I be a good girl mommy!" Yea right! Going to the store or any type of shopping adventure with her is nearly impossible. I spend so much time trying to keep her from having a melt down that I forget what I came to the store for. If I bring a snack sometimes that helps, but most of the time she throws it on the floor or at people! I would venture to say as she approaches three years old in about seven months that this will not get easier! Oh and bed time, lets not even get started on that. Thank goodness that she is still in the crib....or I don't know what in the world we would do. The last three nights have been hard trying to get her to go to bed. Kicking, screaming...just a good ol, down right fit! I think that some of this is in part to the new class room she has gone into at daycare. There are so many more kids, and its total chaos when I go in there. I could just be looking for excuses. Anyway that's my girl, and I love her...so I have to deal....but let me tell you, I did have to go behind closed doors and cry a little bit this weekend...because she had me stressed!! So looking forward to THREE!

Anyway in the midst of the bad behavior this weekend she did have me cracking up a bit.

ME: Sidney do you have to go poo poo in the potty?
Sidney: No mommy, no poo poo! No potty!
Me: OK, please tell me when you have to go poo poo.
Five minutes later..........
ME: Sidney do you have to go potty?
Sidney: NO MOMMY!
Five minutes later......
Sidney: (walking over to me.) Mommy, I poo poo! I go potty....
Me: Sidney, its too late...you already went potty in your pull up, its too late!
Sidney: It's not too late mommy...potty
Me: Its too late!!
Sidney: IT'S NO TO LATE MOMMY, THERE IS STILL POO POO UP THERE!!! (she brilliant)

You really had to be there because it was so funny! I laughed so hard, then she started laughing..
and I know, I should have taken her to the potty earlier....but I'm working on her learning to go when she gets the urge! Oh well this potty stuff stinks!
Then Sunday, in the mess that was our washing machine breaking down....my husband took some clothes over to his dads house to wash. She tells my mother in law that she wants to watch harry potter! My mother in law tells her ...Sidney I don't have harry potter here. Then a commercial comes on advertising snow white dvd...and of course she likes this. So my mother in law asked her if she has snow white to watch...Sidney said no...but its my birthday! LOL, I mean where do they come up with this stuff. She is a girl after my own heart, trying to get someone to give her a present!!
