Sucker Punched

Don't really remember why the call it a sucker punch? Is it because, you don't know the punch is coming? Or your a sucker for getting punched? Well was at my favorite place today WALMART, just needing to get a couple of things, which I normally like to do before I pick Sid up from daycare...but work was so crazy...she came with. As usual she is cranky, hungry...so I go down one of the aisles to get her a snack so I can get what I need in peace. Well she proceeds to dump the whole bag of crackers on the ground!!! We get to the check out counter, I know at this point I need to put the seat belt on her in the cart..so she does not stand up while I'm checking out...(this infuriates her....so I leave it off most of the time.) Well sure enough she was not gonna put that seat belt on. She started kicking, crying, screaming....so I got close in her face, which I do when I mean business(ha ha, ya right)..and told her "we will put this belt on!!" That's when she proceeded to sucker punch me right in the mouth....................................

She should recover in about four to six weeks! Ha Ha!!!

How I miss my sweet little baby that couldn't walk or talk..or kick, bite, hit, say no, throw food at me......

Sid just digs glasses.......we strolled all thru target with her wearing these...she was not to happy when we put them back on the shelf!

So hard to believe my baby, will never be "that" baby again.....I will never get to say I love you to my Mom again.......Life goes so fast...just wanted to show you two of the people I love.

Humiliating

In case you needed a good laugh.........

So today......was walking with bff at lunch down to the cafeteria...just along for the walk. She got her stuff went to pay, we were walking and talking...when all of a sudden WHAM!!! My a** plummets to the floor!! I slipped in a damn puddle of water!!! But I did notice the big CAUTION WET SIGN...as I'm sitting on the ground...right next to the puddle. So why would you not wipe up the big puddle....were they waiting for the puddle to evaporate?? I probably sat there for a good minute in just plain embarrassed shock....bff kept saying or you okay...are you okay.??? Need I remind you that I work in a hospital....was there surrounded by doctors/nurses....all the while looking at me like I was the biggest retard!! No lets write a incident report....,did you break anything, don't move let us help!!! I think bff might have been sweating bullets that she was gonna have to pick me up!!!! lol But I'm ok.... I just find it so funny that as nurses....it should be our first instinct to help people!! OH WELL!!

A Few New Things

Not much exciting this weekend. Went to hobby lobby to get some scrap book stuff, and some orange ribbon, to make sid some bows. They already have their x-mas stuff out!!! There were a few ornaments that I wanted to buy......but I could tell my husband was already getting a little annoyed...because no matter what I'm there for I will go down every aisle!! Well maybe I'll wait a week or two and go back and get those ornaments...that way I can justify in my head that x-mas is a little closer. I love to buy xmas stuff....just cant help it? I think it goes back to when I was a kid...my grandparents were the kind of people that just went over board with it!! I would just love to walk thru her house and look at all the pretty decorations!! You just couldn't help but feel warm, and happy!(even though she was the type that didn't want you to wander or touch!!) I have a lot of stuff for my house, but nobody ever sees it...were always going to someone elses house!
Sunday Sid and I headed out to bff's house to help her hang some pictures, and put out decorations...she has been in this new house for at least two yrs?? with nothing on the walls....her last house for over twelve years with NOTHING!! Can you imagine? That's the first thing I'm doing when I move in a new place...forget unpacking the toilet paper and clothes...it's lets hang the pictures and curtains! We still have a ways to go......so you know what that means shopping!! We went to their little town mall in cleburne and I picked up these two cute pictures....I know I have said before that I'm trying to wean myself off the country style....but I just have a LOVE for country quilts, rosters.......NOT sure where that comes from...you know me and I'm far from country! bff got me the little chicken below....just love her......bff and the chicken!
It never occurred to me to take my camera, to post the cute things she got...and the awesome stores we went in....will plan better next time!

Long Weekend

This has been a pretty long weekend for me, I think mostly because I spent it working /cleaning. Friday night Sid and I hit the couch for our harry potter marathon...she lasted about five minutes then started roaming around and playing....which is fine she can play by herself pretty good. Until she comes up to me with somethin in her hand...as she always does...so she comes over to me hands me a pile of dust and says ewwwww mommy?? Gross!! Yes I'm truly ashamed that it takes my two year old to get fed up for me to clean my house!! Now don't be soooo disgusted. Every week I do the normal things....the dishes, laundry....and I'm an obsessive vacumer. But I don't get down and dirty and mop, dust , clean the base boards...you know the hard core stuff...I don't have time!!! So most of the weekend I spent doing the hard core stuff!! I even cleaned out the fridge! I still have a lot I need to do. I need to go thru sid's room again, get rid of some old clothes shoes....just do some decluttering! Saturday when Chris got home, him and sid both wanted burgers....so we went to fuddruckers. Then there was this new store that I have been wanting to check out every since I went into the new sammoons weeks ago. It's called Belk. It did not look to interesting from the outside, but we went in to check it out! Trying to think of a store to compare it to....Maybe a upscale penneys or kohls! I loved it as soon as I walked in...clean and not crowded..and soooo many pretty things!! They had a lot of clothes in my size...and I mean a lot, and very cute. Nothing too trendy, yet nothing to make me look frumpy ! They had a lot of sale signs everywhere, but still a little pricey for me.?? I probably will wait another week, and go back and get a couple of things I saw...maybe it will be even cheaper...or my luck gone. They had a big home section...lots of cute stuff, picture frames, candles, comforters. They had a really nice kid dept. There were a lot of dresses I wanted to get sid...but even at 50% off I still could not pay 12.99 for a cotton summer dress!? (maybe if hubby was not there!!) Then for my total weakness purses and jewelry.... (so many pretty things) I finally had to tell my husband to drag me out of there! And that he did!! So I guess since it sounds like I'm giving a review.......I LOVED the store...but it's pricey to me! (but you all know the HUGE inhertiance I live off of..........lol NOT!!) By the way...and I'm mentioning it because its rare that sid will behave in a store for me...but she did great! Was saying HI!! to everyone that walked by...and everyone would say hi to her...except one. Don't you just want to secretly bop those people upside the head that don't say hi to your kids!! Oh well... I gave her the STANK EYE! But soon after my child's cuteness even got on my nerves...I had to tell her...please, please stop saying HI to people!! After that we headed next door to the new children's place! They also were having a sale...which was much more reasonable...got sid a new pair of crocs for 4.00 dollars normally 9.00. They have cute stuff....I think it tends to be more of a pay off to shop there if you have more than one kid! That's just me though...another place I will have to sneak back too. They are building so many new things out this way. Now if we can get some more restraunts.

My husband and I had a talk this weekend about another child...not sure what brought this up...something had to...because we dont normally talk about this subject. He again stated his firm ground that he does not want another child...he is happy with just the three of us! I must say that at the present I am too! Pregnancy was hard, new borns are hard!! But as I have told him before it is just too soon, and I'm too young (cough, cough ) to make such a permenant decesion! Before you all attack him in your head....no thats ok...attack him!! He just wants us to be able to live comfortably, do great things for sid, take vacations...he feels that with another child we wont be able to do those things! I guess when you look at it that way...you cant be too mad at him! But we still have time...so we will see. The best thing about Chris is that he will always put himself last...if having another baby is what I want, what makes me happy...then he will be happy! I guess you can say that he always gives me what I want, need! SO for the time, we agree to disagree!

This evening I was working on sid's baby/scrap book...I'm only on her first x-mas!! Looking back at all those pics...I just miss her being a baby! So sad! She is just such a lil person. She can count to ten, say her abc.....it goes by so fast... Who would not want to go thru this again?? (relax honey, i know your reading this...behind my back!!)Sidney rocking her swim suit fourth of july!

Target

Went to target tonight to get a few things that I always buy from there....love their off brand diaper wipes, paper towls, and toilet paper. I guess they no longer have target off brand? It's now called " up up"....weird? Lets just say that the price matches its new name! I mean I just love Tar-jay as much as the next person...but man their expensive....swung by the drink section and they wanted 4.99 for my 12-pack diet pepsi...I mean really thats 2 dollars more than walmart...are they crazy? Most of you know my HATE relationship with WALMART. You definitely pay in others way for what you are saving.. I mean i do buy grocries there...its just painful! Target had a lot of their summer clothes marked 30-50% off...got Sid two cute t-shirts for four dollars...normally 5.99. So those of you who are allowed to shop (ahem) check it out! It is so hard to walk out of there....two dvds I wanted, wanted to get sid another bathing suit with cute little cherries on it, they had this cute pink and white polka dot picture frame that had this engraved little plate in it that said splish splash!!! so cute....but i was good! Just got what I went there for...other than the two shirts (shhhh!!)

My sister in law today showed me a clip for this new movie coming out in august...with that cute lady from notebook.....it's called the time travelers wife...looks soooo good...go check out the trailer for it.....need to bust out all the old harry potter movies and watch so I can get ready for the new movie!
