Easter Sunday.

We took Sidney to great wolf lodge for her birthday...we had so much fun. She to this day still talks about all the water "splashes"....and slides.

My baby's first black eye. She fell at daycare :( She rocked it though...she wore that like a badge of honor.

First days of summer. Our swimming pool.

Sidney's first time to get her toes painted! She calls these her tickle toes. How cute is that.

Daddy and Sidney. I think its so cute how she posed for this picture!

Love this girl....even when she drives me insane! .....and thats often.

I think that I'm a wee bit behind.....and by no means is it that I have something major exciting going on. Just life, being tired...and a little bit lazy! And also my nasty addiction to reality TV that keeps me occupied.

This month I turned thirty! I know....shocking as I look so youthful....but trust me I feel older than thirty. I had a fun birthday dinner with great friends, it was really nice to be able to get out with ADULTS, and have adult conversations! We talked a lot, laughed a lot...had some drinks, and cupcakes...simple.... but..... the best! I received so many wonderful gifts....I know so many people say that it isn't about the gifts....but really....... it is! Ha! I got to spend the day at the spa....massage, facial, pedicure...and lunch. I got a couple of outfits for spring/summer. Hobby Lobby gift card, Target gift card, Compass Trading gift card.....OK, I will stop gloating.

Sidney is getting ready to turn three, but lately it feels like she has been acting like a thirteen year old...and she cant even potty yet! Ha! By the end of the day she has me spent. I'm not sure that I can take a year or more of her current behaviour. She is in that stage where everything is NO! She rolls her eyes like an old pro! (ie: her mom) and pretty much has a smart mouth! Now don't get me wrong...she can be very polite...says please and thank you...yes ma am...but there are times where she just wants things her way...and that's how its gonna be! Lets just say that I have prayed many times to be given more patience! Last night on the car ride home she said to me..."I don't like you, I like daddy!" I know hurtful right......but I was so exasperated with her I turned around and said..."I don't care!" I know that was wrong...and a little bit in mature...I told you I was praying for more patience! That about catches you up....excting...right?!

Later I will post some pics of my bday and some current pics of sid!

Birthday Girl

Last week my niece Kimora turned One. This weekend we have fun celebrating her Birthday! Love Hello Kitty!
Kimora getting down on her smash cake!

Yes, my little girl excited about the cake! Sad, like mother like daughter.

Kimora loved her drum set!

I don't think she ate to much of the cake, she was more into playing with it...and slinging it around.

Sidney with her Valentine's Day gift from Grandma. The long pink wiener puppy! So now we have a baby, a kitty, and a puppy to take to bed!

Must List

Hope I don't get into hot water for using these images.....but this is a couple of my favs right now....so surely I cant get in trouble for singing their praise!
Has anyone been watching this new show.." Life Unexpected.." Let me just say that if your not, you are missing out! It reminds me of That so called life, Dawson's creek...type of show. It s about this group of thirty something year olds...of course their funny, charming, good looking...you know how that goes. So in high school a young fifteen year old gets pregnant by her high school crush...shes valedictorian and he's the quarterback. She decides to give the baby up for adoption....and the guy pretends he doesn't know her...or who's baby she is carrying. Fast forward fifteen years later....and the child that she thought she gave up to a loving family has bounced from foster home to foster home. Long story short she searches them both out so she can become and emancipated minor, she ends up being turned down for this, and the judge ends up turning her over to both her birth parents. It's funny, heart warming...just a good show. Its a great reality check in the power of forgiveness. Check it out if you think about it. Monday nights at eight o clock, on the cw33.
This is a book that I read a couple of weeks ago. If you are a fan of twilight....this is a must read, you will not put it down. Yes I'm fully aware that I'm a little to old to be reading these type of books. As the people at borders told me when I was looking for a certain title...."ma am, that book would be in the young adults section!" That kinda stung a little! lol This is a book about a girl who falls in love with a wolf! ( so it very much has a team Jacob feel to it)

This is another great recent read. Again another "young adult book." This is about a young couple in love...your typical high school romance...and you come to learn that he is actually a fairy, that has to return to his world, and leave behind his human girl friend!
I'm actually going to go hang my head in shame now...as you would think that I'm a sixteen year old...and not an almost thirty year old!
(thank you to my sister in law who as I know is reading this right now, is saying I'm not to old to be reading these books....thank you Carolyn)
If your a more mature reader than I...at least check out the show! Off to watch the Biggest Loser!

I know I'm a little behind posting about Christmas, when most people have moved on to Valentines day. Truthfully I hate it when Christmas is over. I just love that time of year, I feel like the world is a little kinder, and family comes closer....and to be quite honest I love to shop and decorate.
My camera has been causing me some problems...thought I was going to have to bust out the manual...or get a new one. Turns out as usual with most of my electronic problems it was..."human stupidity...error!"
Christmas was a lot of fun this year with Sidney. She understood the whole concept of Santa, and giving and sharing.....and loved to sing jingle bells. Every weekend she asked me....and for that matter still asks me..."we go shoppin momma?" She got to see our first white Christmas...in a very long time. She loved the snow...it was so beautiful! Didn't get to take many pictures on Christmas day, Just a couple when she woke up. She had been sick the week before Christmas and still a little sick during. Spent Christmas morning with Sidney and Chris...we cooked breakfast and watched Sidney play with her toys. I think she was kinda confused as to why none of the presents under the tree were not wrapped...that confused her seeing as everything she had gotten up to this point had been wrapped! This was a point of con tension in my house this year. When I was a child gifts from Santa were NEVER wrapped, where as Chris's childhood Santa gifts came wrapped!? Well, seeing as I was pretty much Santa and do all the wrapping...my way won! ha!
We want to personally thank EVERYONE for the wonderful gifts we received, we are truly blessed....I know that we live in hard times now, yet I truly appreciate everyone who is so kind to my daughter! I know that child will never go with out! She loves all her toys..just come over and look at our house! Thank you to my husbands family...who makes me feel like I'm one of their own.....I think some of them would actually keep me over him! (just kidding!)
Christmas EVE....I had no idea it was snowing...or was supposed to snow! Chris went outside to put some trash out and said....." I think its Snowing!?"

Some of Sid's loot from Santa!

She's a little strange when I was a child my brother and I would have already had everything torn open, and everywhere. She was just looking... trying to take it all in!

HA! She looks thrilled...right!

Couple of days after Xmas trying to get her on her trike!

But wanting to help Daddy sweep instead!

Couple of after x-mas purchases. I normally never shop after x-mas, because I'm broke! But I got a gift card to Hobby Lobby...and went after x-mas. It was the best.....I got so much stuff! Everything I purchased was 80% off.

This wrapping paper...which is soooo pretty, normally eight dollars....I got them all for a dollar! well a dollar each I mean! LOVE wrapping paper!!

These pretty curly cue bows.... 60. cents!
